Green Energy Technologies Business Mission to Singapore and Malaysia

South East Asia is emerging as a key player in global energy. According to the International Energy Agency, South East Asia’s energy demands are predicted to grow by 80 per cent from 2015 to 2040.

By 2035, South East Asia’s total energy demand is forecast to increase by an amount equivalent to Japan's current energy needs, representing massive growth. As such, the region is increasingly looking into the potential of renewables to help meet their energy demands.

The Green Energy Technologies Business Mission, under the EU Business Avenues in South East Asia programme, will travel to Singapore and Malaysia from 24 to 28 October 2016.

The first part of the business mission week will see 36 European companies in the green energy sector travelling to Singapore for two exhibition days, coinciding with the Asia Clean Energy Summit 2016 which is part of the Singapore International Energy Week. The companies will then travel to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for technical seminars and pre-arranged business meetings with local companies.

The European companies will showcase innovative solutions and leading technologies in the green energy sector, and seek potential partners and evaluate business opportunities with the local companies.
