Construction & Building Technologies Business Mission

4 – 10 November 2019, Singapore & Philippines

Construction & Building Technologies Business Mission to Singapore and Philippines

South East Asia construction activities will rely heavily on public infrastructures such as railway and road transportation and non-residential constructions and on urban redevelopment over the next decade and beyond.

The Building & Construction Authority of Singapore (BCA) projected a construction demand growth of up to USD24.41 billion per year in the next 4 years, with construction projects totaling 1.24% of GDP.

Philippines on the other hand will focus on transportation infrastructure with the aim to relieve traffic congestion and boost tourism-related expenditure. The Philippines government aims to build more roads, bridges, highways, railways, airports, energy facilities and public transportation systems, and has already lined up 10 infrastructure projects worth P36 billion (USD687.37million) to roll out in 2019.

The EU Business Avenues in South East Asia programme will lead the first Construction & Building Technologies business mission to Singapore and Philippines from 4 to 10 November 2019. The week-long mission will allow the European companies to get a better understand of the local market conditions and engage in business meetings.
